Disco Droid 3000 pays tribute to Mexico’s iconic High Energy movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Students from Tec de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México, collaborated with renowned artists and designers such as Gabriel Lopez, Aldo Cañedo, Mar Nahimira, Phil Baglatas, and José de la O to create fully functional digital musical instruments inspired by the distinctive High Energy style.

Drawing from Jaime Ruelas' futuristic aesthetic, these instruments enable performers to deliver unique improvisations, honoring this influential musical and visual era.
