INMERTIA

INFO

Design project that aims to transform the visual art into a multi-sensory experience for people with visual impairments, combining art, design, and technology to create an inclusive and meaningful artistic experience.

This project is the result of the collaboration between Mexican artist Pedro Trueba, music producer Karla Solis, engineer Miguel Estrada, and the support and guidance of professors Lobsanth Tadeo and Ricardo Espinosa.

This project was carried out over 10 weeks, covering all stages of the creative process, from conceptualization and planning to prototyping and production.

Using a 3D scan of a painting, it was modified and fragmented before being printed with conductive filament to create tactile panels.

This project acts as a link between art and inclusion.

Touching each panel reveals a new fragment of a musical composition.

When the panels are joined together, the complete musical piece is revealed.

The musical composition conveys the same message and emotions as the original painting.
